Heart of Gold inspires and connects through short films to celebrate the richness of the human spirit. The short film festival is held at the Gympie Civic Centre from October 3 – 6, and will screen over 120 films, plus workshops, family activities, free events and filmmaker discussions.

During the festival volunteers fill vital positions as ushers, ticket salespeople, hospitality roles, as well as assisting with setup and pack down, decorating the venue, hosting filmmakers, and driving filmmakers to and from the event.
